Koenigsegg Gemera (600hp from a 2.0-litre 3 cylinder engine)
Koenigsegg is a unique name and so is the technology behind its vehicles. One such vehicle from this carmaker is the Gemera. What’s so special about the car? Well, for starters this is a hypercar that has only a 2.0-litre 3-cylinder turbo petrol engine. Yes! You read it right, a 3-cylinder.
That’s not all, this “tiny friendly giant engine” (this is what Koenigsegg likes to call the engine) makes a whopping 600 hp and 600 Nm of peak torque. The last time I checked, a two-litre 4 cylinder TSI motor from Skoda makes just 190hp of max power.
Surface Transforms plc (LON:SCE) are experts in the development and production of carbon-ceramic materials and the UK’s only manufacturer of carbon-ceramic brakes for automotive use. Koenigsegg nominated SCE as a tier one sole supplier on their Gemera car.
