Battery maker AMTE Power seeks location for new manufacturing plant

A maker of electric batteries expects to make a decision on where to locate a large UK manufacturing plant next year.

AMTE Power already makes products at a base in Thurso in the north of Scotland and has recently announced a joint venture to expand into Australia.

The firm, formed in 2013 by a group of engineers, listed on Aim in London this year, placing shares at 175p.

AMTE Power plc (LON:AMTE) is a recognised brand in the production of high-quality lithium-ion batteries across a range of markets including automotive, aerospace, defence, oil & gas and energy storage.
