The chair of Marketing Humber has emphasised the growing importance of the region to the Net Zero agenda.
Marketing Humber recently organisation Waterline Summit 2021, bringing together businesses, public sector organisations, schools, colleges and communities to support the drive to a net zero carbon economy.
He also noted Able UK’s £450m investment in a Marine Energy Park in Immingham; Siemens Gamesa investing a further £186m to double the size of its offshore wind turbine plant in Hull; Equinor building one of the world’s first ‘at scale’ green hydrogen plants as part of H2H Saltend; Ineos’ £150m new plant at Saltend; Siemens Mobility new £200m train manufacturing facility in Goole; Reckitt investing £200m in its global R&D centre in Hull; a further £200m being invested in the Yorkshire Energy Park in Hedon; and Pensana’s £90m rare earth materials facility.
