Cell therapies are one of the major trends in biotech, and they’re being investigated as a therapy for everything from cancer to chronic inflammation. Say you’re a company looking to leverage T-cells, the ‘soldiers of the immune, if all goes well, you might succeed in finding a cure in the lab, but what happens when you scale up for clinical trials? From their PhD work, scientists are trained to manage laboratory-scale datasets, but the industrial expansion could pose a daunting challenge, especially when it comes to cell therapies.
