Reports of data breaches are down by 52% year-on-year in the first half of 2020

Reducing the time taken to detect and respond to an incident is a significant factor in reducing the time, effort and cost involved with a security incident. Put simply, the sooner an incident can be detected and dealt with, the easier and cheaper it is to ensure the business continues to operate.  

According to research by Risk Based Security, there were 2037 publicly reported breaches through to June 30, accounting for a 52% decrease compared to the first six months of 2019.  

Working remotely has raised immediate working issues to the forefront of concern and in some cases pushed cyber security on the back burner. Leaving some organisations vulnerable to attack.
