Teenager in agony from arthritis after diagnosis delay wins millions

A teenager who has been stricken by arthritis since she was just two years old has won millions in compensation following a delay in diagnosis.

University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust admitted liability for the blunder and agreed to pay the girl a £2 million lump sum.

Judge Graham Wood QC said the girl, who cannot be identified, began to suffer from juvenile idiopathic arthritis before her third birthday.

Oxford Biodynamics PLC (LON:OBD) was spun out from Oxford University in June 2007 with the aim of translating fundamental scientific advances into a commercialised platform technology and a new generation of biomarkers for cancer and other diseases. OBD’s RA programme is focused on a development of several disease-specific stratifications.
