Eaton “strengthens” its presence thanks to Flowtech Fluidpower Plc

Power management company Eaton has strengthened its presence and service level in the UK following the signing of a master distribution agreement with Flowtech Fluidpower Plc. Under this agreement, Flowtech will become a distributor of Eaton’s Power and Motion Control products and in particular Eaton’s Winner hose™, hose fittings and adaptors in the United Kingdom.
Flowtech is a fast growing fluid power group headquartered in the UK. Its business covers a wide range of industrial sectors, as both a service provider to a very strong sub-distributor network and through its PMC division to OEM’s and end users, this width of offer makes Flowtech a key partner for Eaton. Flowtech recently acquired Primary Fluid Power Ltd and Nelson Hydraulics Ltd, both Hydraulic specialists. Primary Fluid Power has had a long commercial relationship with Eaton of more than 25 years. Primary Fluid Power has been Eaton’s leading Power Motion and Control distributor and provider of total systems capability for branded Eaton & Vickers™ Power Units in the UK.
“We see considerable potential to drive further adoption of Eaton products in the UK, working closely with Flowtech Group,” said Mark Ward, Eaton sales manager, UK and Ireland. “Through our association with Flowtech, we can better serve our customers with Eaton products and solutions. This agreement enables us to offer the Eaton Winner matched hose and assembly system to the UK for the first time.”

Sean Fennon, chief executive office, Flowtech commented, “This master distribution agreement demonstrates our strong relationship with Eaton and their confidence in our overall ability to deliver a high quality service and product to the marketplace, built on our reputation of delivering excellence based around our knowledgeable staff, certified technicians, efficient operational facilities and modern hose assembly equipment, delivering the high-level of quality workmanship to key equipment manufacturers throughout the UK.”  Fennon continued, “Our unique position in the marketplace, combined with our relationship with Eaton represents another major step in the Flowtech’s development. This agreement will also provide our customers with access to commodity products, supported by strong technical support and a competitive and qualified Eaton Winner Branded hose assembly. ”
