Versarien plc (AIM: VRS), the AIM quoted advanced engineering materials group has appointed Iain Gray CBE as an additional non-executive director with immediate effect.
Iain has spent his executive career at the highest levels within the aerospace sector, initially with British Aerospace before becoming engineering director of Airbus UK. After 27 years in the sector, Iain was in 2007, appointed Chief Executive of Innovate UK (formerly the Technology Strategy Board) and was responsible for its successful development into an autonomous, independent profit centre looking to drive growth from commercial investment in new areas of technical innovation. He was recently appointed Director of Aerospace at Cranfield University and is a fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society, the Royal Society of Edinburgh and of the Royal Academy of Engineering.
At the same time, Jeremy Veasey will retire as a non-executive director having served on the board since its admission to AIM in 2013.
Iain Gilmour Gray, aged 58, is a director of Bristol Aero Collection Trust and Science, Engineering and Manufacturing Technologies Alliance and was within the last five years a director of The Engineering & Technology Board.
There is no other information which requires to be disclosed in accordance with paragraph (g) Schedule Two of the AIM Rules for Companies.
