Versarien Plc (LON:VRS) CEO Neill Ricketts talks to DirectorsTalk about it’s considerable progress for the year. Neill talks us through the result highlights, adds some detail to a number of graphene collaborations as to how they are developing, updates us on the thermal products side of things and explains how they have had a positive start to the new financial year.
Neill is a graduate engineer with over 20 years of senior level experience in manufacturing and engineering companies, including several directorships of AIM-quoted companies. Neill has demonstrated success in introducing and commercialising new technology, including new materials and coatings for diverse sectors from aerospace to Formula One, including significant work in the oil and gas sector. Neill has successfully led several successful turnarounds and was a board level director at Elektron Technology plc, a group which included Total Carbide, which at that time sat within the Elektron Ventures division.
Vesarien Plc have already gained considerable industry recognition and received a number of high profile awards, including the London 2012 UKTI Startup Games Overall Winner, 2013 Racecar Engineering Magazine’s Most Innovative Product Award, 2012 MWP Advanced Manufacturing Award for Research and Development and 2012 HP Smart Business Award for Manufacturing Innovation. In June 2013, Versarien floated on AIM, a market operated by the London Stock Exchange. Following this, the Company acquired leading manufacturer of tungsten carbide products, Total Carbide, thereby expanding its production capabilities to meet growing customer demand.
