INTERVIEW: Miton Group Plc Looking at 2017 with confidence

Miton Group Plc (LON:MGR) CEO David Barron talks to DirectorsTalk in his first interview since becoming CEO, about it’s strong final results for the year ended 31 December 2016. David explains how it feels to be at the helm with just over £3b worth of assets to manage, talks us through the financial highlights, the drivers, what makes them different from peers and what is happening with the £21m sitting on the balance sheet.

David has in depth experience of working with the Boards of Investment Trusts and their shareholders. Managing a market-leading asset management business. He was formerly a director of the trade body representing Investment Trusts, the AIC, for ten years. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland.

Miton Group plc (referred to as the “Company” or “Group”), is an equity and multi-asset fund management specialist. As at 31 December 2016 the Group managed £2,905 million of assets including eight OEICs, two unit trusts and four investment trusts under the Miton brand.
