London copper prices rose on Monday as companies in top producer Chile consider output cuts at a time when the country has taken strict measures to contain the spread of the new coronavirus.
Three-month copper on the London Metal Exchange rose 1.1% to $4,893.50 a tonne by 0217 GMT, while aluminum was unchanged at $1,481.50, nickel advanced 0.2% to $11,265 a tonne, zinc increased 0.6% to $1,892.50 a tonne and lead was up 0.8% at $1,670 a tonne.
