The new James Bond film is “almost on the mark” when it comes to showing how terrorists can manipulate pathogens to create bioweapons, and governments must do more to protect citizens from this threat, one of the world’s leading biological warfare experts warned last night.
A key concern, said Col Hamish de Bretton-Gordon, is the lack of any policing of 3,000 Level 3 laboratories which contain deadly pathogens.
