24i and Phenix are partnering to aid in the creation of a video streaming app for the Prep Super League ahead of its first season. The white-label app will be developed via 24i’s Mod Studio, which will be pre-integrated with Phenix’s real-time video delivery technology, creating an end-to-end platform that the companies pledge will stream broadcast-quality video with latency under half a second.
Founded by former USFL president and The Spring League founder Brian Woods, the Prep Super League is a new North American football league for high school-aged players, designed to give recruits a higher-visibility avenue to hone and showcase their talents (SBJ’s Ben Fischer reported on the league’s roots in June). Its launch is planned for the spring of 2024 with teams in 12 markets.
The Prep Super League is the first sports entity to utilize 24i and Phenix’s joint streaming solution, which is applicable to web, mobile and tablet browsers. It was designed with an eye on applications for sports leagues and rights holders.
