Angola has selected the winners for four onshore oil and gas concessions in the Congo and Kwanza basins in its latest bid round, the country’s upstream regulator ANPG announced on Monday.
On the Kwanza basin, the KON 13 block will be operated by UK-based player Serinus Energy with a 55% stake with partners Effimax Energy with a 30% stake and state-run Sonangol with a 15% stake.
The regulator also listed the names of companies that qualified to bid on blocks.
Operators that did not win bids include Walcot, Simples Oil, Intank Group, Transoceanic and Ace Energy.
