CyanConnode, a leading provider of narrowband radio frequency (RF) smart mesh networks, has achieved a significant milestone by deploying over 2 million RF communication endpoints across India. This accomplishment marks the company as the first and only smart metering communications provider in the country to reach this level of deployment.
The deployment, spanning ten Indian states—Assam, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Bihar, Maharashtra, Karnataka, and Andhra Pradesh—demonstrates CyanConnode India’s dedication to delivering reliable and scalable smart metering solutions. This achievement not only highlights the company’s expertise in smart metering technology but also reinforces its role in advancing India’s energy management and digital transformation efforts.
In a related success, the Tamil Nadu Generation & Distribution Corporation Ltd (TANGEDCO) has been honoured with the prestigious SKOCH Gold Award in the Power & Energy category. This recognition celebrates the success of TANGEDCO’s smart metering project, which has been powered by CyanConnode’s advanced communication network. The project has delivered outstanding results, including billing and smart metering communication rates exceeding 99 per cent. These improvements have led to faster invoicing, reduced errors, and enhanced customer satisfaction due to timely billing. Additionally, the implementation has optimised operations, reduced carbon emissions, increased revenue, and streamlined manpower utilisation.
Ajoy Rajani, Executive Vice Chairman of CyanConnode Pvt Ltd, expressed pride in these accomplishments, attributing them to the hard work and dedication of the entire team. He emphasised that the successful deployment of over 2 million communication endpoints and TANGEDCO’s award win affirm CyanConnode’s leadership in the smart metering sector and its commitment to supporting India’s energy management initiatives.
