In 2018 Applied Graphene Materials (AGM) launched their ground-breaking
Genable® dispersions, a series of graphene based anti-corrosion additives. Genable®dispersions have proven highly efficient and cost effective in extending the time to corrosion onset of coatings deployed across a broad range of applications and environmental conditions. This exciting technology breakthrough has recently started to gain greater industry recognition, with several paint manufacturers taking Genable® enhanced products to market.
AGM are now happy to report further recognition and that their technology based on the Genable® 3000 series; a graphene based, active non-metallic, anti-corrosion additive, has been nominated as a finalist in the Materials Performance Corrosion Innovation Awards for 2019. The MP Corrosion Innovation Awards program is run in parallel with NACE International and winners among these finalists will be selected by a panel of corrosion control experts and announced on March 25 2019, at CORROSION 2019 in Nashville, Tennessee, USA.
As an additive capable of offering metal-free systems with significantly extended durability, the Genable® 3000 is expected to find multiple coatings and lining applications in industrial areas subject to high humidity and aggressive atmosphere, including inshore areas of medium to high salinity.
