Robin Young, CEO at Amur Minerals Corporation (LON:AMC) is interviewed by Jeremy Naylor at IG Group Limited. Robin talks through the resource upgrade, which gives more potential for investors, and explains what 2017 will bring.
Robin Young is a geological engineer who has worked extensively in the CIS since 1991. He has 39 years of experience in the mineral resources industry overall, which has included large scale projects in remote areas as well as significant work with junior mining companies. He has held positions of increasing responsibility within the exploration, development and production sectors including operations design and construction. Since 1980, he has been involved in the international sector and has been the Chief Executive Officer of two geological and mining consultancy companies. He has been CEO of the Company since October 2004. Mr. Young is a licensed Professional Geologist and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Geological Engineering.
Amur Minerals Corporation (AMC) is a natural resources exploration and development company. The Company and its subsidiaries locate, evaluate, acquire, explore and develop mineral properties and projects in the Russian Far East. The Company’s principal asset is the Kun-Manie sulfide nickel, copper project located in Amur Oblast, with JORC resources in excess of 830,000 nickel equivalent tons. The Company’s Kun-Manie project is involved in the exploration for minerals within the Kun-Manie license areas in Russia. The Company’s project license area covers approximately 36 square kilometers. The Company’s wholly owned subsidiary is ZAO Kun-Maine.
