Arria NLG (AIM: NLG), a leader in the development and deployment of Natural Language Generation (“NLG”) technologies, has told DirectorsTalk that the Company has signed a Framework Agreement for configuration, development and licensing of applications using Arria NLG’s patented NLG software with a major electric utility in the Eastern region of the United States.
The contract outlines a statement of work and costs for an initial application to create a problem-detection dashboard in one of the utility’s regional operation units, with specific deployment, licensing and payment schedules. Additionally, the framework agreement provides the terms for future configuration, deployment and licensing of further applications using Arria’s NLG technologies.
Arria NLG Chairman and Chief Executive Stuart Rogers said, “We are delighted that the Company has entered into this services and licensing agreement, which expands our NLG offering into the utilities sector. The application is the result of the exceptional technical expertise of our client’s engineers, in combination with Arria’s unique capabilities in computational linguistics and developing NLG applications. As this powerful decision-support application is deployed and gains broadening use at our client’s sites, we anticipate increased opportunity in this industry, serving both this new client and other utilities in the United States and worldwide.”
