Dekel Agri-Vision – At the Ayenouan palm oil project in Ivory Coast, the number of processed fresh fruit bunches increased by 16% in October by compared to the previous year to reach 8,886 tonnes against 7,661 tonnes the previous year. Crude palm oil production increases by 2.8%, from 1,677 tonnes to 1,723 tonnes. However, the average price of crude palm oil per tonne fell by 26%, from 1,057 euros to 788 euros. Additionally, CPO sales decrease by 5.4%, from 1,567 tonnes to 1,483 tonnes. Palm kernel oil production increases by 15%, from 131 tonnes to 150 tonnes. The average selling price of PKO fell by 27%, from 1,151 euros to 838 euros per tonne. PKO sales fell by 12%, from 225 tonnes to 199 tonnes.
Executive Director Lincoln Moore says: “With two months remaining in 2023 and a strong start to November, the palm oil operation remains on track to exceed CPO production, revenues and earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization compared to 2022, and we look forward to reporting a strong end to the year.”
