Device Authority’s Tyler Gannon to join expert panel at CyberArk’s IMPACT event

Tyler Gannon of Device Authority will join an esteemed panel of security specialists at CyberArk’s annual IMPACT event to discuss the OT security landscape.

As industrial systems become more interconnected, the convergence of IT and OT systems has made them more vulnerable to cyber threats. Disruptions or compromises in these systems can lead to significant consequences, including safety risks, environmental damage, and economic losses. While organisations have traditionally enforced stringent security measures around their IT systems, OT systems have often prioritised reliability and availability. This new landscape presents a fresh set of challenges and priorities.

Gannon commented on the upcoming discussion: “The increasing connectivity of OT systems means they are attractive targets for attacks, particularly ransomware, and can be seen as weak entry points into an organisation’s wider network. Tackling this challenge is crucial not only for safeguarding critical infrastructure and maintaining operational continuity but also because national and industry-level regulations are mandating standards of best practice. I’m looking forward to discussing this with the panel at IMPACT to help organisations navigate this complicated but important landscape.”

Joining Tyler on the panel will be Brian Carpenter from CyberArk, Kaivan Karimi from Microsoft, and Mike Huckaby from Phosphorus. CyberArk’s IMPACT event, scheduled to take place in Nashville from 20-22 May, promises to cover the latest advancements in identity security. Top experts and organisations dedicated to making the digital world safer for all will be in attendance.
