Enhancing GenS expertise through webinar series

Following the launch of GenS 3.0 on 30th April 2024, Pennant has conducted three live GenS webinars aimed at our industry friends, partners, and customers. These sessions were designed to expand knowledge on GenS and are now available as recordings. You can access them by clicking here.

The webinars covered the following topics:

Session 1: Project Configuration with GenS

In this informative GenS Element Manager Webinar, administrators will learn how to effortlessly create and modify LSA Project Configurations within GenS. The session will cover customisation of Project configurations using internationally supported LSA/LPD Standards, addition of business or project-specific notes (Element Direction), and tailoring of pre-set Lists of Values. It will also delve into user and group management, project configuration, and administration.

Session 2: Data Entry & Ease of Use with GenS

Join us for the GenS Client Webinar to explore the flexibility of the customisable GenS Client User Interface. This session will demonstrate how to import Microsoft Excel data directly into GenS, potentially saving hours when dealing with large data tables. You will also learn how to export data tables for easy sharing between projects or as spreadsheet templates with suppliers. Additionally, the session will cover the GenS Client Structure Manager function, allowing you to create your project’s Physical and Functional Build Structure, assign LCNs and ALCs, and modify the project structure.

Session 3: Data Exchange and Additional Functions in GenS

Our third webinar focuses on the GenS Standard Converter, a powerful tool for importing and exporting LSA Standards-compliant data as a data exchange file. Learn how the GenS Standard Converter can convert your local GenS data set to one or more LSA Standards, accommodating customer requirements for different delivery standards. This session will also revisit the GenS Client, showing how it can run LSA-specific reports (such as the LSA-003 Maintenance Summary or LSA-019 Task Analysis Summary) and perform a wide range of calculations based on existing project data to provide valuable insights.
