European stocks rise on positive momentum

European stocks saw an uptick in morning trading, following a strong performance on Wall Street driven by gains in the technology sector. The Stoxx Europe 600 index, which tracks a broad range of European companies, increased by 0.5 per cent, with the energy and technology sectors leading the way.

In Germany, Frankfurt’s Cac 40 experienced a rise of 0.8 per cent, while the Dax index followed with a 0.3 per cent increase. The UK also joined the positive trend, with London’s FTSE 100 advancing by 0.4 per cent. Budget airline easyJet was a notable performer, showing a 4 per cent increase, making it one of the top gainers on the index.

The gains across various European stock markets reflect strong investor sentiment, particularly in energy and technology stocks, as well as in specific sectors like low-cost airlines.

Fidelity European Trust PLC (LON:FEV) aims to be the cornerstone long-term investment of choice for those seeking European exposure across market cycles.
