The Bookseller has announced its shortlists for the Futurebook Awards today. The awards that celebrate companies and individuals who are playing a key role in driving innovation within publishing. This year, More than 110 entries were submitted from 10 different countries across the eight categories.
Frances Lincoln Children’s Books’ campaign for IMAGINE, the first picture book set to John Lennon’s iconic words and featuring striking illustrations by renowned artist Jean Jullien, made it to the shortlist for Campaign of the Year, a category that rewards marketing or publicity campaigns that have used digital and/or print in a creative, intuitive and integrated way. The IMAGINE campaign having integrated online and offline activities to build a coherent marketing strategy with clear goals, made it as a top contender for the award.
As for the campaign’s success online, including a message-sharing micro-site and offline execution, eight co-edition publishers bought into the idea. Pre-publication launch on 14 August drove pre-orders from retailers.
