On 27th January 2022 Kromek hosted its first Emerging Technology and Future Concepts Showcase at the Royal Academy of Engineering in central London. The event was designed both to demonstrate the breadth of Kromek’s radiological and biological detection capabilities to a wide range of audiences and to provide a forum for constructive debate with a range of different stakeholders.
The morning session was focussed towards investor and capital market analysts. Chief Executive Arnab Basu welcomed attendees and outlined his vision for the next phase of the company’s evolution and his global ambitions. This was followed by the first guest speaker Lt Col (Ret) Steven Webber, the Senior Technical Manager to the Nuclear Team at the US Department of Defense’s Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA), to brief the audience on the situational context of the radiation threat. As the driving force behind the development and acquisition of the D3S detector, Lt Col Webber was also able to explain how the relationship between Kromek and its significant American customers had evolved.
Kromek Group plc designs, develops and produces x-ray and gamma-ray imaging and radiation detection products for the medical, CBRNe security, Homeland Security and civil nuclear radiation detection markets.
