New website launches to celebrate Imagine

A new website celebrating the publication of IMAGINE, the first picture book set to John Lennon’s iconic lyrics, enjoyed a global launch on 14th August 2017. www.imaginepeacebook.com has been designed with users of all ages and aptitudes in mind.

Created by Frances Lincoln Children’s Books – an imprint of Quarto Group Inc (LON:QRT) – and developed by leading digital studio The Creative Corporation, favoured by musical royalty including The Beatles, Ed Sheeran, Katy Perry and the Bee Gees, the website will encourage children, teachers, carers and parents to write messages of peace, to share in time for the UN’s International Day of Peace, 21st September, coinciding with the book’s publication date.

Celebrities have already begun pledging their messages of peace, including:

Juliet Stevenson ‘This book is a beautiful visual version of John Lennon’s cry for peace & harmony.  Its message for humanity has never been more urgently needed than now.’

Richard Curtis ‘It was John Lennon who inspired me to join Amnesty when I was 15. 45 years later I realise more and more how brave and muscular his battle against War was… If we gain peace – everything else wonderful will follow. ‘The world is getting better. Poverty, hunger, disease, injustice are all on the run. But it is war, war, war that is slowing down the process. If we gain peace – everything else wonderful will follow.’

Cathy Newman, C4 News ‘Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan. Yemen, Libya, Somalia. I could go on….and on…Too many countries around the world are riven by conflict, and have been for years, decades even. Too many children around the world have grown up knowing only war, struggling to eke out a life surrounded by death. Never has peace been more needed; never has it been more elusive.’
