Global oil prices extended gains to hit the highest levels in more than two months on the prospect of improved demand as Europe and the US scale back coronavirus-related restrictions.
Brent crude oil futures topped $70 a barrel on Tuesday morning for the first time since early March, rising more than 1% on the day. West Texas Intermediate also climbed by 1.1%, to $67 a barrel, with both contracts building on the 1% advance on Monday.
