Photos of holidaymakers visiting the US have been stolen in a cyber attack, the American border force has said. US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) said that photos of travellers to the country had been “compromised by a malicious cyber attack”.
The agency stores images of visitors taken as they enter and exit the US for anti-terrorism and law enforcement, and uses photos for facial recognition at American airports.
