MTI Wireless Edge Limited (LON:MWE) Finance Director Moni Borovitz caught up with DirectorsTalk to discuss their subsidiary Mottech Water Solutions, why it is a great acquisition and how their solutions help farmer’s achieve cost savings
Q1: Moni, news out today for your subsidiary Mottech Water Solutions, who continue to win orders and you’ve just received an order from a new customer in Tanzania. It seems to me that Mottech has been a great strategic acquisition?
A1: Yes, I agree. We’re very happy with this acquisition, it’s not only generating revenue, there will be big opportunities to enhance profit position with positive cash flows so we are very happy with it.
Q2: With growing demand for Mottech’s services in Africa and reducing power and conserving water being a necessity for the African agricultural industry, that’s if they want to stay competitive, can you explain to us how Mottech’s advanced irrigation management technology uniquely helps farmer’s achieve these cost savings?
A2: Using our solution you get first of all saving in water usage and in electricity usage by computerising all the systems. It’s not only that, you also get better quality of product because you know when to irrigate, how to irrigate etc. and also the quantity that you can manufacture from a given the size of the field is bigger. So we give them a very fast ROI and they’re very happy to use it.
