Rotary Aircraft Systems Trainer facilitates practical maintenance skills development

The Rotary Aircraft Systems Trainer, similar to the Fixed Wing Aircraft Systems Trainer, is designed to help students develop and practise the skills necessary to maintain modern rotary aircraft. This trainer is a classroom desktop tool featuring a graphical representation of the aircraft, allowing students to interact with it using virtual test equipment.

Although it primarily focuses on avionic and electrical trades, the trainer encompasses all aircraft systems. This allows students to locate and identify system components, practise the normal operation of the aircraft’s avionics, and engage with electrical systems for ground-based activities. Additionally, students can perform functional tests on active systems, observe equipment and system malfunctions, and carry out fault diagnosis and rectification.

Previously known as the Avionics and Electrical Systems Emulator (AESE), this trainer offers a comprehensive platform for practical learning and skill enhancement in the maintenance of rotary aircraft.
