Falanx Assynt’s Director of Geopolitical Intelligence, James Brandon, will be delivering a presentation at the UK Security and Counter-Terrorism Expo (SCTX) at Olympia, London on 7 March. James will be offering insight on emerging threats to critical national infrastructure (CNI) from terrorist groups and the key resilience challenges these pose.
In his address, James will present an analysis of the recent trajectory of Islamic State (IS), the attacks IS has conducted or inspired in Europe, and the CNI attackers have chosen for their actions. In addition, he will provide an assessment of the nature of lone wolf jihadists and the targets that these individuals have thus far not successfully targeted.
James will also be looking at the evolving threat posed by both Al-Qaeda and far-right extremist groups to CNI in western Europe. He will conclude by identifying several indicators of resurgence and suggesting potential future innovations in the IS-inspired jihadist threat to CNI.
