Triton Showers leads the way with carbon neutral recognition

Triton Showers, the UK’s top shower manufacturer, has once again achieved Carbon Neutral certification for its operations, marking the third consecutive year of this accomplishment. This certification, granted by the globally recognised sustainability body Planet Mark, reflects Triton’s ongoing commitment to reducing its environmental impact. The certification covers a wide range of emissions related to Triton’s core operations, including energy consumption, waste management, fleet operations, and other activities in compliance with the PAS 2060:2014 standard.

To achieve carbon neutrality, Triton offset its entire measured carbon footprint through verified projects. One such initiative involved distributing over 100,000 clean water filters to rural communities in Laos. These filters significantly reduce the need for boiling water to ensure safety, which contributes to lower carbon emissions in those regions.

Further efforts by the company to minimise its carbon footprint include an accelerated transition to electric vehicles and targeted initiatives to decrease on-site gas usage. These actions led to a notable reduction of 8.8% in its Scope 1 and 2 emissions during the 2023/24 financial year, as calculated using a market-based methodology.

David Tutton, Managing Director at Triton Showers, expressed his pride in the achievement, emphasising the company’s dedication to its sustainability goals. He highlighted the importance of immediate action to ensure progress towards the 2035 Net Zero target. Tutton also reinforced the brand’s responsibility as a leading manufacturer to prioritise environmental sustainability, stating that integrating such practices is beneficial for the planet, employees, and the business.

Adding to its accolades, Triton recently received the prestigious King’s Award for Enterprise, recognising the company’s efforts in sustainable development and its dedication to embedding sustainability into its long-term strategy.

Triton Showers continues to set an example in sustainability, demonstrating that consistent action and innovation can lead to tangible progress in reducing environmental impact. These achievements showcase its role as a leader in the industry while underlining its commitment to a greener future.
