The UK’s car production snapped a ten-month slump in May with a rise of 13 percent as the output of electric vehicles more than doubled and the sector recovered from pandemic lows, data from the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) showed.
Factories produced 62,284 vehicles last month, the SMMT said in a statement on Thursday.
Production of full-electric cars jumped 108 percent to 4,525 units.
