UK Oil & Gas Investments Plc (LON:UKOG) CEO Stephen Sanderson talks to DirectorsTalk about the flow test results at Portland, Stephen explains the potential Portland Commerciality and the next steps for the company.
Brendan D’Souza Analyst at WH Ireland said today “UK Oil & Gas Investments Plc has announced results of flow testing operations of the third and final interval of the Horse Hill-1 (HH-1) oil discovery well, located on the PEDL 137 licence (19.97% non-operated interest). The HH-1 well flowed 37 degree API light sweet oil to surface, via rod pumping, at an average stabilised rate of 168 bopd over a continuous 9 hour period.
The flow is from a 88 foot aggregate zone located within the Upper Portland sandstone interval, at a depth of c.615 meters (2,020 feet) below ground level. UKOG has stated that flow testing operations from the Upper Portland sandstone interval will continue with a pump configuration that is designed to allow for optimal hydrocarbon flow over a longer flow period.
The 168 bopd stabilised flow rate from the third interval adds to the 1,360 bopd across the Upper (c.900 bopd) and Lower Kimmeridge(c.460 bopd) giving a combined 1,528 bopd across the three HH-1 intervals. This flow rate is highly impressive and far exceeds our expectations.”
