Versarien plc (LON:VRS), the advanced materials engineering group, this morning told DirectorsTalk that it has entered into a collaboration agreement with a world leading provider of aero engines and components, including avionics, electrical power and mechanical systems for aircraft.
Versarien and this new collaboration partner have agreed to collaborate on research and development projects using Versarien’s proprietary Nanene few layer graphene nano-platelets in base materials and sensory devices used in a variety of products in the aerospace and aero engineering sectors.
Neill Ricketts, CEO of Versarien, commented: “We are delighted to be working on our second major collaboration in the aerospace sector with a world leading company.
Our high quality graphene has a variety of potential uses in the aerospace and aero engineering field. From its incorporation in structures to enhance material strength, reduce weight and improve thermal radiation properties, through to utilising the electrical conductivity properties of graphene in sensory devices, the oportunites are enormous. We will be working with this new partner across their numerous areas of expertise to maximise the benefits that graphene can bring.
We continue to work hard with our other collaboration partners to bring graphene enhahenced products to market and continue to see substaintial interest from other companies across the world who wish to work with Versarien.”
