Direct launch of modules, enhanced access to knowledge centers, randomized questions for offline assessments, and pop-up window capabilities have all been included in the new version of NetDimensions’ market-leading mobile learning app, Talent Slate.
The ability to launch modules without downloading them to a device and randomized offline testing are among the highlights of the newly-released NetDimensions Talent Slate 2.5 mobile learning app.
In addition to the strong offline capabilities of the market-leading native mobile learning application for iPad and Android tablets, Talent Slate 2.5 provides even more convenience for users with a reliable Internet connection by allowing them to directly launch learning modules without downloading them.
This new functionality allows learners to access module types that are not available or supported by Talent Slate when they are offline. They are also now able to access knowledge centers – containing a wealth of resources to help them get the most out of their training – directly from a learning module’s detail view.
Randomization, a key feature of NetDimensions’ assessments, will be included in exams when they are taken offline as part of Talent Slate 2.5. This means that L&D teams will have the ability to make the sequence and selection of questions unpredictable, even when learners are taking tests offline. This goes a long way in preventing learners from passing assessments by memorizing the order of correct answers.
Talent Slate 2.5 includes complete support for pop-up window content, which is necessary for some users and supports courseware which relies on pop-up windows. Enabling these brings closer parity between the capabilities of the course player in Talent Slate and those of a conventional web browser.
These new features build upon and are available to users of the latest version of NetDimensions Talent Suite. Launched in November 2017, version 13.2 contains a wealth of capabilities allowing organizations in highly-regulated industries to enjoy world-class learning and performance management.
