Asian-Pacific markets generally rose on Wednesday, despite the Bank of Japan’s announcement of no changes to its yield curve control policy.
The Nikkei 225 in Japan saw the biggest increase, climbing 2.5% to close at 26,791.12, while the Topix index also rose by 1.64% to end at 1,934.93. The Japanese yen weakened by 2.04% against the US dollar following the decision, and was last traded at 130.84.
