Time Finance expands asset finance services with new Birchwood office

Time Finance, a key player in independent business finance, has moved to new office premises at The Square, Birchwood Boulevard. The company, aiming to expand its asset finance services to UK SMEs, has signed a five-year lease for a 4,593 sq ft office space in Birchwood. This location will serve as the base for its 40-member northern Asset Finance team, previously located in Warrington.

This move aligns with Time Finance’s ongoing growth strategy, highlighted by recent financial achievements, including a 20% increase in turnover, reaching £33.2 million, and a 41% boost in pre-tax profits to £5.9 million for the year ending May 2024. From its new Birchwood base, Time Finance plans to enhance its asset finance offerings across various sectors, including manufacturing, engineering, construction, recycling, and logistics. Alongside these services, the Birchwood office will support the expanded delivery of their Asset Based Lending (ABL) service, enabling businesses to access finance by leveraging their existing assets.

CEO Ed Rimmer shared the company’s enthusiasm, noting that Time Finance is on a “growth path” that extends its reach to more businesses, particularly SMEs, through flexible finance solutions. Rimmer highlighted the importance of investing in strategically located offices to support their network of broker partners and ensure top-tier service. The Birchwood premises represent a significant step in Time Finance’s growth journey, benefiting clients across the North West and beyond.

Steve Nichols, Managing Director of Asset Finance, echoed this sentiment, describing the new location as a space for team expansion, improved connectivity, and enhanced service delivery. He emphasised the role of asset finance in providing SMEs with access to essential equipment and capital. With the new office, Nichols is optimistic about reaching a broader client base with innovative funding solutions.

Time Finance’s new Birchwood office marks a substantial investment in its growth, supporting expanded services and strengthening its commitment to UK SMEs across various industries.
