Accrol colleague shapes career using multiple apprenticeships

Grace discovered the value of ‘on-the-job’ learning early in her engineering career, beginning with a maintenance engineer apprenticeship at the age of 17 and progressing to a level 2 Team Leader course six years later. She is now six months into her ILM Management apprenticeship after recognising a desire for more responsibility.


What do you do?

“I’ve been with Accrol’s engineering team for six years. My current position is Asset Care Co-ordinator at our Leyland and Blackburn sites. I monitor machine performance and make adjustments as needed to get the most out of the machines. I created an Asset Care Program to ensure that critical maintenance and cleaning of key components like the glue deck, tail seal, log saw, and so on is completed. In addition, I plan for downtime and machine intervention.”
