BBC journalist Jeremy Bowen has announced that he has bowel cancer despite suffering none of the typical symptoms.
The 59-year-old revealed his diagnosis on BBC Breakfast this morning and urged others to get tested rather than ‘die of embarrassment’ by not talking about bodily functions.
Father-of-two Mr Bowen, who suffered minor injuries after being shot in the head and leg in Egypt with pellets while covering 2013 protests, said he was diagnosed with the disease back in October after suffering ‘funny pains’ in his leg and back.
Oxford Biodynamics PLC (LON:OBD) was spun out from Oxford University in June 2007 with the aim of translating fundamental scientific advances into a commercialised platform technology and a new generation of biomarkers for cancer and other diseases including ALS.
