The COP26 climate change conference in Glasgow has enabled Caithness specialist battery maker AMTE Power plc to engage in high level talks about the future of sustainable transport.
AMTE, which manufactures lithium-ion and sodium-ion battery cells for specialist markets at its Thurso factory, has been participating in multiple panels and roundtable discussions throughout COP26 with a particular focus on electric vehicle adoption and energy storage.
With one quarter of the worlds global emissions coming from transport, ways of reducing the sector’s carbon footprint is a major theme across COP26, and the AMTE senior team has taken the opportunity to engage with senior representatives from government bodies and global corporations and explain the role AMTE and its products can make in the drive towards net zero.
AMTE Power plc (LON:AMTE) is a recognised brand in the production of high-quality lithium-ion batteries across a range of markets including automotive, aerospace, defence, oil & gas and energy storage.
