Golden Saint Resources Ltd LON:GSR Cyril D’Silva caught up with DirectorsTalk to provide an update on his trip to Africa.
Q1. Cyril, you are still in Africa. How your trip has been so far?
A1. I am still in Africa, yes. The trip went very well and I have to say it has exceeded expectations.
Q2. You went on site with Rockforage, the new appointed technical team. Could you tell us more on the mines you have visited and what is the weather there?
A2. We visited the Egoli Mine Sites, the Tongo Site where the Dove Explorer is and also Moa, mainly the Moa River. The rains are at its heaviest. We thought it important to do the onsite visit during the rainy season so Rockforage could look at the best strategy to work even with bad weather.
Q3. How big is Rockforage team? What was their fist impression and what first steps have they taken?
A3. Rockforage was represented by it’s CEO Pierre Fourie and their Head geologist John Ward. I truly believe they were surprised at the quality of the tenements that we had and the work that has gone in.
Q4. Have you had any important meetings with the community and Government?
A4. Have met with the Director of Mines – NMA, had a couple of meetings with the Attorney General and met with the different Paramount Chiefs including Zimmi and hoping to meet with the rest of NMA tomorrow.
Q5. What is the situation in Sierra Leone for Ebola?
A5. Sierra Leone has started the Zero countdown for 42 days , from yesterday , so everyone is excited by it and they should be able to see it through.
Q6. What is next on your timeline?
A6. We look forward to the first official report on the onsite visit from Rockforage. Their views which we will release through an RNS. From here they will formulate a game plan to push forward both the exploration program as well as the alluvial mining of diamonds. We are planning to upgrade our Dove Explorer screens to maximise the diamonds recovery and also I am planning with RockForagemore regular visits to our mine sites in Sierra Leone.
