Ex ARM Chief will become the new Chairman of Ilika Shortly

Ilika (AIM: IKA), the accelerated materials innovation company, have told DirectorsTalk that Mike Inglis has been appointed as a Non-Executive Director with immediate effect. It is the Company’s intention for Mike to take over from Jack Boyer OBE as Ilika’s Non-executive Chairman pending Mike’s successful election at Ilika’s next AGM in September.

Mike is a Non-Executive Director of Pace plc and an Independent Director of US based Advanced Micro Devices Inc. (AMD). He was formerly Chief Commercial Officer of ARM Holdings plc until March 2013, having previously been EVP of ARM’s Processor Division and EVP Sales and Marketing.

Prior to joining ARM, Mike worked for management consultancy firm AT Kearney and before that held a number of senior operational and marketing positions at Motorola. Previous experience also includes semi-conductor sales, marketing, design and consultancy with Texas Instruments, BIS Macintosh and Fairchild. Mike is a Chartered Engineer and a Chartered Marketer.

Graeme Purdy, Ilika’s CEO, commented: “We are delighted that Mike has agreed to join Ilika’s board at a time when his commercial experience is particularly relevant to Ilika’s growth plans. We look forward to working closely with him to apply his extensive and valuable knowledge of licensing models in the semiconductor device and Internet of Things industry sectors.”
