International EV Batteries 2022…Q&A with Denis Pasero, Ilika

Denis discusses his role and involvement with regards to EV batteries, industry challenges, what he is looking forward to at the event and why it is important for engineers to attend.

Q: Could you briefly explain your role, involvement, and experience with regards to EV batteries?

Denis Pasero (DP): My position at Ilika is Product Commercialisation Manager. My role is to understand market needs and translate these into features in our products. Ilika has been involved in developing materials for EV batteries since 2008, when we started a collaboration project, now ended, with Toyota. We created IP for Ilika and decided to formally start the design of a solid-state pouch cell for electric vehicles in 2018.

Ilika plc (LON:IKA) is a pioneer in solid state battery technology enabling solutions for applications in Industrial IoT, MedTech, Electric Vehicles and Consumer Electronics.
