Japan stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Paper & Pulp, Transportation Equipment and Insurance sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tokyo, the Nikkei 225 rose 0.06%.
The best performers of the session on the Nikkei 225 were Mitsubishi Corp. (TYO:8058), which rose 3.72% or 258.00 points to trade at 7,200.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Mitsui & Co., Ltd. (TYO:8031) added 3.31% or 184.00 points to end at 5,748.00 and SoftBank Group Corp. (TYO:9984) was up 2.84% or 185.00 points to 6,691.00 in late trade.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tokyo Stock Exchange by 1777 to 1770 and 298 ended unchanged.
