Land Rover takes autonomous car tech off-road

Land Rover has pumped £3.7 million into a project that will see autonomous driving technology developed for off-road use.

The British firm wants its autonomous vehicles to be the most capable on the market and be able to tackle the widest range of terrains including off-road. Vehicles such as the Discovery and Discovery Sport will eventually be fitted with Level 4 and Level 5 autonomous technology, although no arrival date has been set.
