London has overtaken Paris to regain its crown as Europe’s largest stock market in a boost for the City.
The market value of stocks in London is now $2.888 trillion (£2.39 trillion), compared to Paris’s $2.887 trillion, according to a Bloomberg index.
It comes after the Square Mile was leapfrogged by the French capital last year as the largest centre for trading equities in Europe.
