Toople wins two new contract wins and a major extension to an existing contract

Toople PLC (LON:TOOP), a provider of bespoke telecom services to UK SMEs, and its subsidiary company DMSL, has announced two new contract wins and a major extension to an existing contract.  The new wins are in the retail and charity sectors, areas where the Group has traditionally been strong and continues to build more business.

The contract extension is to Toople’s existing client Boparan Restaurant Group (“BRG”), which has recently acquired iconic restaurant brand Gourmet Burger Kitchen (“GBK”).  Toople will roll-out secure data connections, local internet breakout and telephony to all the acquired GBK restaurants based in the UK.  The contract is an additional win for DMSL, who already provide telecoms services to several businesses across multiple disciplines within the Boparan Restaurant Group, including Carluccio’s.

In addition to the contract extension, the Group has also secured two new contract wins, the first of which is with a well-established, independent furnishing company based in Lincolnshire.

This business has a large online presence and five large retail outlets.  The Group will provide a range of new IP cloud based services; a number of mobile contracts; and an upgrade of the client’s broadband to Superfast Enhanced with a 4G Assure backup service.  The contract length is for a minimum 36 month period.  The broadband upgrade is particularly important for the client as the existing business broadband facility, which is also used to run its CCTV, had become unstable.

Toople was able to improve attractive cost savings for the client as well as an improved and enhanced service, with disaster recovery and back-up in place, ensuring the client receives perfect, undistorted CCTV footage from all its cameras and seamless telecoms services.

Similarly, DMSL has won a new contract to supply a number of services to leading charity Age UK.  With the effects of the pandemic taking a particular toll on old people, Age UK offers invaluable support with expert information, advice and friendship.

Andy Hollingworth, CEO of Toople, commented:

“Toople continues to add new business across a variety of sectors.  We are very proud to now be contracted to provide telecom services to two new clients and in many new locations.  Our contracted services for these two clients include broadband, telephony and mobile Wi-Fi, plus high speed broadband and Wi-Fi services.  Toople will also replace standard broadband with superfast fibre-optic broadband in each location, where available.

“Additionally, Toople will now be responsible for rolling out cloud telephony, as well disaster 4G backup recovery systems, in these new locations.  This will ensure that our new clients will continue to have exceptional internet connectivity and full access to their business critical systems in the event of outage.

“To win the contract extension to supply data and telephony services to GBK, is evidence of how attractive and reliable our service offering is to existing clients.  More and more businesses are being forced to review their existing telecoms services and many are seeking new solutions which provide enhanced quality at an affordable price.  We are speaking to many businesses and NGOs regarding our  bespoke solutions . and the new business pipeline remains strong.  We look forward to updating the market further when we announce our final results in due course.”
