Swedish utility Vattenfall AB will sell part of its 301-MW Princess Ariane onshore wind farm in the Netherlands to Dutch insurance company ASR Nederland NV (AMS:ASRNL), the parties have announced.
The insurer will get to own 32 of the wind farm’s 82 turbines, or the equivalent to 118 MW of installed capacity, the companies said. Vattenfall will continue to service the turbines and take up their production output.
Financial details were not disclosed.
ASR, styled as a.s.r., is said to be looking to make its investment portfolio more sustainable and turn its balance sheet greener in the coming years.
