Vipera (AIM:VIP), the specialist provider of mobile financial services, has told DirectorsTalk that Jeremy Nicholds has joined the board as a non-executive director with immediate effect, to provide further independent board governance and to proactively assist the Company with strategic partnerships, sales and marketing matters.
Jeremy Nicholds is an internationally experienced marketing and commercial director in the fast evolving global payments field. Jeremy has worked in a number of different geographies for companies such as Visa, MasterCard, NatWest Bank, Reuters and the Prudential.
Jeremy’s most recent position was as Executive Director, Mobile at Visa Europe, where he drove mass market mobile payment across multiple markets enabling compelling new mobile ‘pay propositions’ such as Apple Pay and Android Pay, whilst also supporting bank programmes using Visa Cloud Based Payments and HCE technology.
Prior to joining Visa in June 2006 he was Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing at MasterCard Europe, responsible for all marketing activity, and before MasterCard Jeremy headed up NatWest Bank’s consumer card business. Jeremy’s early career was in developing information products for Reuters, and marketing insurance, savings and pensions products at Prudential.
