A 13-year-old girl who medics believed had a chest infection was diagnosed with cancer and died the next day, her distraught mum says.
Kelly Baverstock is “shocked” her daughter Tanisha’s illness was not spotted sooner.
The sporty schoolgirl had felt unwell for a few weeks.
Her mum said Tanisha was losing weight and struggling to breathe, and that medics thought it was a viral infection.
Kelly, 38, added: “Judging by the cancer in her, she was going to school when she should have been having end-of-life care.
